Modern Ceramic Birdhouse in the Clouds- Yellow- Handmade Ceramics by RossLab Garden Decor Outdoors

I hand-built this modern and simple birdhouse from a slab of clay in my home studio in San Jose, California.

I first assemble the house, then the roof, and I put everything together before adding the loop on top. After the long and slow drying process, the birdhouse is fired in the kiln and then glazed.
I apply three cloud cut-outs on each piece, so the glaze can resists those areas and, after the final kiln firing, the beautiful pattern is revealed and it is enhanced by the glaze subtle crackle effect.
It is a long process. It takes around 1 hour to complete and decor each piece, but it is worth it: your little feathered friends will feel like they are still in the sky, surrounded by white clouds.

The birdhouse has a 2" opening for the birds to enter and a 8-inch-long jute cord is attached to the loop so you can hang it. You can easily resize the cord based on the chosen location. I suggest to make it shorter, so the house won't swing in a windy day. The bottom of the birdhouse has also three drainage holes, just in case some rain enters it.

Although all materials used are intended to stand the weather elements, I recommend to bring the birdhouse indoors during cold winters and check on the cord conditions over the seasons and replace it as needed.

This listing is for a ready-to-ship birdhouse, measuring approximately 3.5"x6.5". Please note each piece is handmade and might slightly differ in size and design from the one pictured.
